SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara Athletics will add five members to its Hall of Fame May 4 at a ceremony on Davey Court in the Athletics Excellence Center. John Faylor '85 (football), Kevin Foster '13 (men's basketball), Deb Nortbutas '93 (women's soccer), Becky Potter '04 (volleyball), and Jack Wall '09 (men's water polo) will be the members of the class of 2024.

John Faylor '85 | Football
Faylor was a linebacker for Bronco football after a high school career at nearby Archbishop Mitty where he played quarterback and was a guard on the basketball team.
After a strong freshman campaign, Faylor missed the 1982 season but was back the following year where he was the backbone of the defense. Through the 1984 season, Faylor had a total of 97 tackles with 16 for loss.
He graduated in June of 1985 but played his last year of eligibility that fall and had his best season. A position change saw Faylor at strong safety and he was named a defensive captain. In the game against Portland State that clinched the Western Football Championship, Faylor had 15 tackles, including 10 solo while the Broncos held their opponents to just 40 yards on the ground. That season he posted another 97 tackles, 67 solo, and had four interceptions.
Faylor finished his career No. 2 in program history with 331 tackles.
He was voted the team's Most Valuable Defensive Back and Most Inspirational Player at the team's award banquet and was named First Team All-WFC.
He signed as a free agent with the San Francisco 49ers in 1987.
Kevin Foster '13 | Men's Basketball
Foster became a starter at Santa Clara almost immediately as a freshman. In his first West Coast Conference game, he put up 31 points against rival Saint Mary's. That season he played over 1,000 minutes while breaking Kurt Rambis' record for most points by a freshman and passed Steve Nash on the single season list for 3-pointers made.
As a sophomore, Foster got off to a hot start before a broken foot ended his season early.
He came back even stronger during the 2010-11 season and helped lead the Broncos to 24 wins, up from 12 the year before. Foster led the nation in 3-pointers made and set the school record for points in a season with 766. He also led his team in assists and steals to show his all-around game. He was First Team All-WCC, NABC All-District First Team, and a Mid-Major All-American.
During his career, Foster broke the Bay Area record for 3-pointers made and still holds the top spot on the program's scoring list with 2,423 points. By the time he graduated, Foster was ranked ninth all-time in college basketball in 3-pointers made. In WCC play, he ranked first in 3-pointers made, second in total points, and third in points per game. On Santa Clara lists, he is first in games started, minutes played, total field goals, and 3-pointers made, second in steals, third in games played and scoring average, and sixth in total assists. He is still the Bronco career leader in both a season and career total for points scored, 3-pointers made, total field goals made, steals in a season, and both games started and minutes played in a season.
Deb Norbutas '93 | Women's Soccer
After growing up in Los Gatos and attending Archbishop Mitty High School, Norbutas starred immediately for the Broncos. She was a key cog as the Broncos went 14-5 in 1989 and became the first Santa Clara women's team in any sport to receive a bid to the NCAA Tournament. History continued as the team became the first to make the College Cup as well.
The success didn't end there for Norbutas or the Broncos. She was named an All-American in 1991 and 1992 and was named to the College Cup All-Tournament Team in 1990 as the Broncos made the College Cup in three of her four seasons.
Santa Clara posted 54 wins, highlighted by an 18-1-1 season in 1990, during Norbutas' storied career.
Becky Potter '04 | Volleyball
Potter became a starter a few matches into her collegiate career and finished her freshman year with five double-doubles and was third on the team in assists and blocks as the Broncos on the WCC. Her performance nabbed her WCC Freshman of the Year honors, a first for the program.
She kept things going as a sophomore and helped her team to the 24th spot in the national rankings. The Broncos would finish the season 19th nationally, second in the WCC, and made a trip to the NCAA tournament. Three times that year Potter was the WCC Player of the Week and had 12 double-doubles with double-figure kills in 25 matches. She was a First Team All-WCC selection.
As a junior, Potter once again led the Broncos into the national polls and became the first player in program history to be named an All-American.
She finished her career as a three-time All-WCC honoree and was twice an All-American as the Broncos made the NCAA Tournament all four of her years. She remains the program leader with 1,812 kills.
Jack Wall '09 | Men's Water Polo
Wall made an impact right away as a freshman in 2005. He scored in the game-winner over Pacific that year to give the Broncos their first-ever win over a top-10 team. His play saw him named the WWPA's Freshman of the Year.
His sophomore year, Wall helped the Broncos to 17 wins and a national ranking while finishing third in the conference tournament. He scored 70 goals and added 21 assists, good enough to be named All-America honorable mention.
After a season-ending injury early in his junior campaign, Wall returned as a senior to lead Santa Clara to 22 wins and another national ranking with a second-place finish in the conference tournament. He was named an All-American and First Team All-WWPA to cap his collegiate career.
