Red & White Hall of Fame Celebration

The 7th Annual Red & White Celebration, on May 18th, 2019 will feature current student-athletes, coaches, and administration joined together with the benefactors of the Endowment, Hall of Fame Inductees, Bronco alumni, and friends of the Athletic Department in what is sure to be a great celebration of Santa Clara Athletics-Past and Present. The event honors all of those Broncos that have given of their time, passion, financial support and love so that our student-athletes have the privilege of representing Santa Clara University. It is an acknowledgement, a ‘tip of the cap’, to those that built our legacy and an invitation to all, to be a part of our future.

THANKING BENEFACTORS

The contributors to the 58 Named Scholarships will be recognized and paired up with the student-athletes who benefit from their generous contributions.

SENIOR AWARD RECOGNITION

Select senior student-athletes are nominated by their peers and awarded by their coaches and supervisors as excellent examples of those who lead by example; embodying courage, perseverance, attitude, character, competitive spirit, and by making a significant contribution to community service. These seniors receive awards in memory of ‘Bronco Greats’ such as Carroll Williams, James Farwell, Pat Malley, and Henry Schmidt.

HONORING 1962-1972 MEN’S BASEBALL

1962-1972 was a golden age of Santa Clara Baseball. While playing against elite competition, the Broncos were able to achieve a staggering winning percentage of over 75% and competing in 1 college world series and 3 super regional championships. We look to honor our past and celebrate this accomplished decade of men’s baseball with a special tribute to those players.

CELEBRATION OF THE 2019 ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME CLASS

The event will induct the 2019 class into the Santa Clara Athletic Hall of Fame. This class includes: Mike Carey, Kevin Dunton, Whitney Hollis, Kylie Hopper, Jerry Howarth, Jacqui Little, Mike Pereira, Nikki Serlenga-Fein, and Kim Williams. They will join the company of the elite athletes and coaches who have made strides to make Santa Clara University what it is today.
