The Santa Clara University Engineers Without Borders chapter is hosting its 7th Annual 5K for $5K Run!

About this event

Santa Clara University's Engineers Without Borders chapter is hosting its 7th Annual 5K for $5K Run to support the chapter's clean water projects. This year's projects are to update and finish building a water filtration system that will supply our Rwandan partner community with clean and safe drinking water and to continue developing a germination chamber for our local partner Valley Verde. By joining EWB-SCU for a 5K run, you will be supporting not only the cooperatives in Rwanda and San Jose but also the aspiring engineers at SCU to gain hands-on technical skills and training in human-centered design thinking.

This race is both virtual and in-person, so feel free to choose your own course if you can't join us in person! If you can make it in person we will reach out with more details closer to the event. The in-person race will be March 2nd. We’d also love to see your race photos! Please send them to us, or post them on our Facebook account at: https://www.facebook.com/ewbSantaClara/ !

If you're interested in seeing how your money will help bring clean water to our partner community, please check out our website or watch travel vlogs from our past travel trip to Rwanda: https://ewbscu.com/
